Saint James Catholic Church

Lakewood, Ohio is very much an ethnic ‘melting pot’. Bearing the distinction of being the most densely-populated city between New York and Chicago, with nearly 56,000 residents crammed into just under 5 square miles, it is often called the ‘City of Homes’ as well as the ‘City of Churches’.

Saint James is among the oldest of churches in Lakewood.

One of the goals I have had since moving to Cleveland was to photograph all the old architecture that is slowly going away. It really is a shame that they don’t build them the way they use to. Cleveland has some of the best classical examples of architecture in the US. I will miss it when the Coast Guard makes me move.

It’s good to see others that appreciate it as much as I do.
