LORAIN — Mike and Amy George didn’t complain to anyone a year ago when Lorain police conducting training exercises with new gas masks at the nearby Amherst Gun Club fired off pepper spray that wafted a half-mile into their Deerfield housing development off Oak Point Road.
But they decided enough was enough after both were left coughing with watery eyes and burning throats after police conducted similar exercises for a third straight year Tuesday evening.
