I think I have this figured out. Teabaggers:

  • Don’t want government to do anything for anyone who is not like them, and
  • Don’t want government to do anything to anyone who is like them.
The corollary, as evidenced by the stunning silence from them about the Arizona “papers, please” law, is that:
  • It’s O.K. for government to do anything to anyone who is not like them.
