A blog about food, wine, photography, travel, tech, pop culture, and social media...with a little geek thrown in for flavor.
I love to cook, collect and try new recipes. I'm always in search of the perfect meal, the perfect glass of wine, the perfect cup of coffee. Some people eat to live...but I live to eat.

FENTON, Michigan — Anisse Jawhari knew something was wrong when her daughter, Randa, didn’t pick up the phone Wednesday morning.
Just like she does every morning, Jawhari called her bi-polar daughter to make sure she wasn’t late for the bus. “She never called back,” said Jawhari. Police are now looking for the 42-year-old who family members fear may be wandering the streets in only a blue bathrobe.
The 5-foot-1 Jawhari weighs 100 pounds and has brown hair. Anisse Jawhari said she typically talks to her daughter about 20 times a day but said Randa’s last contact with family members was an 11:30 p.m. phone conversation with her sister Tuesday.
Randa has had bouts with depression in the past, but her mother said there was nothing to indicate she was upset. Her mother had taken her dinner at her Shiawassee Avenue apartment earlier in the evening and laid out her clothes. Wednesday, the clothes were still there. The bathrobe she had been wearing was missing, leading to fears she may not be wearing appropriate clothing for the cold, rainy weather.
Randa doesn’t have a car or a driver’s license and does not have a history of leaving without telling someone. “She always lets me know where she is,” said Anisse Jawhari. “She doesn’t have anybody else.”
